Cozy, bright and comfortable

El Sitio has seven “casitas” nestled on the slope of the mountain, all built around a former wine cellar “Bodega”. The apartments are built in the traditional Herreño style, with volcanic lava stone. «There are many places that invite you to stop and admire the mountains, the valley and the ocean».

Our casitas are unique, modest and made with lots of love, each with its special charm. They are studio style, and each have individual bathrooms and small kitchenettes. Prices range from 37€ to 69€ per night depending on the apartment and the season. We have a minimum of 3 nights in low season and 5 nights in high season, but it is always worth contacting us to enquire about shorter stays – we try to make everything possible.

Tacorón

Our most reasonable and (almost) barrier-free treasure

1 double bed

This is the smallest apartment we have, located on the ground floor at street level. It consists of a studio with a double bed (140 x 200 cm), indoor and outdoor dining table and a private patio that connects with the bathroom of the apartment.

Although Casita Tacoron does not have views to the outside (because it is on the ground floor), it is very cozy and bright. Guests are always welcome to enjoy the common terraces of our gardens. It is perfect for short breaks and for people traveling on a tight budget.

It has a bathroom suitable for wheelchairs and we have an access ramp.

THE THREE CASITAS

These casitas have two single beds that can also be put together to make a double bed. They have beautiful sea and mountain views, a bathroom, and both indoor and outdoor dining tables.

They are perfect for couples or trips with friends. Our most romantic Casita

All our cottages are beautiful, but Sabinosa is one of a kind! It has a large private terrace, large windows to enjoy the light and panorama, a fireplace and lots of charm.

Its exceptional location at the top of our grounds gives you unforgettable vistas from every angle of the cottage! It has a double bed and a single bed. Due to the uniques of this casita, it is often only offered on our website or by telephone booking (not available on booking, airbnb, etc).

The largest Casita

The casita Isora has a different layout to all the other casitas as it has the bedroom separate from the living room and kitchen. The cozy and quiet bedroom has a double bed.

In the living room/kitchen there is a sofa bed with beautiful views of EL Golfo. Both rooms open onto a private terrace with access to the bathroom. Ideal if you are a couple with children, desiring the privacy of separate rooms.

Reservation

Once the booking request is made we ask for an advance payment of 50% of the total price, to confirm the booking.

Cancellation

In case of cancellation, we will charge a percentage of your deposit depending on how far in advance you inform us:
• More than 30 days prior to your booking, full refund of the deposit or possible change of dates free of charge.
• Between 15 and 30 days, we retain 20% of the deposit.
• Between 7 and 14 days, we retain 50% of the deposit.
• Between 2 and 6 days, we retain 80% of the deposit
• Less than 2 days, we retain 100% of the deposit.

Please note that all our houses are smoke-free. We fine 50€ for a special cleaning if you smoke inside.

Our lovely Bodega-Reception, the former wine cellar of the original house, inside of which you will find our small office where we are happy to assist you and give you information Tuesday and Friday mornings between 9:30 am and 12:30 pm. Outside these hours you can reach us at +34 922 55 98 43 and we will be willing to help with whatever you need.
This space for common use offers a stable high speed wi-fi connection. With tables both indoors and outdoors where you can take advantage of the internet to research your routes around El Hierro. Ideal if you need to tele-work or want to make a video call. If you would like to try a local drink, we offer wines and beers from the island.
In the Bodega you can also find our open kitchen with a capacity to seat 20 people if you wish to host a group or a meeting.

STUDIO SALA

The beautiful Sala (studio) located in the main house is around 30 square meters with hard wood floors. Different courses are taught here during the week. This space can also be used by our guests in their free time, for personal practice of yoga, dance, meditation or if you’d like to enjoy our small collection of books in various languages – feel free to borrow the book during your stay. Groups can use the studio for their workshops, therapies, seminars and meetings. The space is big enough for 17 – 20 people depending on the activity.

LA SALITA

We have a small massage room so that you can relax without having to travel. There are several masseurs on the island from which to choose from according to your needs and type of massage. Remember to contact them in advance for an appointment, or you can call us for advice.

The whole El Sitio is surrounded by gardens of Canarian flora and pathways that connect to the natural landscape. Our guests can make use of our common areas in the garden and the various terraces with patio furniture from which to enjoy the spectacular panoramic views of the sea and the valley of El Golfo.

Only a 10 minute drive from El Sitio is the cosy little village of Los Llanillos, where we offer larger houses that suitable for longer stays.

CASARTE IN LOS LLANILLOS

In the north of the island of El Hierro, in the village of Los Llanillos, you will find the «CasaRural CasArte» (3 km from La Frontera, 19 km from the capital Valverde, 27 km from the port and 28 km from the airport). It is the perfect example of the houses that herreñain families lived in in the last century. Es una de las casas típicas que tenían las familias herreñas cuando hacían las mudanzas en el siglo pasado.

In CasArte, one of the oldest houses in Los Llanillos, you can breathe in an artistic air. The house serves as a residence for artists from all over the world several months of the year. On the main level CasArte offers a master bedroom with a double bed and living room with TV, a small bedroom with two beds, a well equipped kitchen and a bathroom with bathtub. Below there is a barbecue, next to which is a small show room with an extra bed. Above the main level is a large terrace covered by a porch, and another bathroom with a shower and washing machine. On the upper most level there is another small bedroom with a double bed. All these areas are connected by little gardens and terraces done in a rustic and cosy style. Three minutes walk from the house you can find Tienda-Bar Los Llanillos, a very popular coffee place for both locals and our guests.
CasArte is ideal for small groups of 5-8 people. Children under 12 years free of charge.

Lenicasa is a restored historic house built with the idea of offering our visitors modern comforts in the tranquillity of a rural environment.  

The apartment has 2 levels: upstairs is a bedroom with twin beds and a bathroom with bathtub and hairdryer, and on the ground floor there is a living room with well equipped kitchen, washing machine, TV and sofa bed. Miricasa, the neighbor to Lenicasa, is also an historic house again renovated with the same thought of bringing together modernized amenities and the peace of the countryside.
